Designed in the early 1900's, the sewer nodes are contained within a combined sewer overflow (CSO) system, wherein stormwater, wastewater, and runoff all collect into the same system. The system is compromised of 29,138 sewer nodes on City streets and parking lots. This layer was created by the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services (DES). This layer was originally created in GIS in 2002 during a digital conversion project where original Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings and as-built drawings were scanned and digitized, and combined with data gathered from field work (2002, Monroe County Department of Environmental Services, Rochester, NY).
